AN POST STAMP PROGRAMME 2004 EXHIBITION

Last year was a most exciting year for Irish Stamps where events such as the Centenary of Bloomsday, the introduction of the Luas, and the Centenary of the Camogie Association were all commemorated. In September a new series of Definitive Stamps was launched featuring illustrations of Irish Wild Flowers by renowned botanical artist, Susan Sex.

The exhibition shows the original paintings used in last year’s Stamp Programme.

Other highlights on display are paintings from the 50th Texaco Children's Art Competition, which features artwork by four young artists who entered the Competition in 2004.

Call into the Philatelic Shop if you wish to take home 'stamp sized' versions of the beautiful work on display in the exhibition. As well as individual issues, you can purchase both the Irish Stamps Year Book (price €55) and Year Pack (price €30) which contain all of the Commemorative stamps issued in 2004. The exhibition is on display in the G.P.O. Dublin until February 28th 2005
