TEXACO EXHIBITION CONTINUES AT HUGH LANE GALLERY

DUBLIN, IRELAND – 1 May 2007 - The top 21 winning paintings from the 51st Texaco Children¹s Art Competition are now on exhibition at Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane at Parnell Square, Dublin. The paintings will be on display in the Blas Coffee Shop and will remain there until Friday 31 August.

This new collection of paintings by some of Ireland¹s finest young student artists will replace an exhibition of winning entries from this year¹s 53rd Texaco Children¹s Art Competition which had been taking place at the Gallery and which now must be removed so that they can go on show at the prize-giving luncheon which takes place in Dublin on 16 May.

The Hugh Lane Gallery, which houses one of Ireland's foremost collections of modern and contemporary art, is open Tuesday to Thursday from 10am to 6pm, Friday & Saturday from 10am to 5pm and on Sundays from 11am to 5pm. The Gallery is closed on Mondays.
