69th Texaco Children's Art Competition Winners Announced

The closing date for this year's Competition passed earlier this year and we would like to thank all of the young artists who entered and their parents or guardians, their teachers and their school communities for their involvement and participation.

With many thousands of artworks received, this year's entry level was very notable particularly in relation to the quality of work received.

Congratulations to all, but especially to our category winners whose winning artworks are displayed in the 2023 Gallery above.  Each of these artists will be invited to an Awards Ceremony next month where they will be officially presented with their award prizes and certificates.

We note in particular this year's overall winner - Charley Bell from Methodist College, Belfast - for her coloured pencil artwork entitled 'Curiosity'. Her winning artwork along with three other artworks from this year's Competition will be exhibited at the prestigious 24th International Arts Festival in Tokyo's National Art Center in August at the kind invitation of the International Foundation for Arts and Culture (IFAC). Well done Charley and congratulations to Amy O'Brien, Sarah McLoughlin and Megan Hogan on this selection too.  Charley has been invited to attend the exhibition opening so we wish her a very enjoyable and memorable trip.

The Certificate of Commendation recipients have yet to be announced and their details will be posted on this website in the coming weeks.
